‘Man of Steel’ Review: He’s Got Chest Hair, Deal With It

Synopsis: A nomadic extraterrestrial has to face his past, and save planet Earth from his own endangered people.
Thought: Best backstory telling in a while. Christopher Nolan’s presence is felt. Awesome possum casting, minus one. Oh man, look at the onesie.
Reasoning: The film opens on the brink of Krpyton’s demise, which was great minus Jor - El played byRussell Crowe flying around on mutant butterflies and rando creatures that apparently escaped from Avatar. Aside that, the opening does a wonderful job of giving the audience a detailed backstory, without producing another played out origin story or prequel series.
Christopher Nolan’s presence is felt. The darker storytelling with a gritty look protagonist for opening sequences, until he’s ready to fulfill his destiny has Nolan all over it. The Man of Steel has been portrayed as lost and ostracized, but we don’t recall him bruiting as he does in this film. Nolan gives the same style set-up with the Caped Crusader.
Either way we can’t for this to be true:

Awesome possum casting minus one - with complete offense intended we did not like Amy Adams as Lois Lane. She looks a bit older than Henry Cavill, and Lois Lane should not be a redhead. With no offense intended to the redheads, love the gingers, it just wasn’t working out. If they’re going to let Lois Lane be redheaded, then they should make Wonder Woman be a blonde. Just saying.
The good guys did an awesome job! Martha Kent played byDiane Lane definitely did her loving momma routine, and Jonathan Kent played by Kevin Costner nailed the concerned caring farther. It goes without saying, but for the record Kal - El/Clark Kent/Superman was flawlessly played by Henry Cavill who delivered a handsome and commanding performance.
The evil-doers also did an awesome job! General Zod played by Michael Shannon had all the right ingredients for a man that was completely obsessed with saving his race will killing mankind. The breakout star in the flick is Antje Traue who plays Faora - Ul, shekicks a*s all over Smallville, Kansas in this flick.
Conclusion: By the Ticket!
