The Croods Movie Trailer
Synopsis: Teenage cave girl, Eep, is tired of living under her father’s suffocating rules, and adventures outside the cave causing her family to follow her into a brave new world.
Thoughts: This film is a no brainer - it’s heart touching and funny.
Reasoning: The Croods is a heart touching animation film, that really tugs at the heart while watching rebellious teenage cave gal, Eep played by Emma Stone, come to the realization that she wants her family to live instead of simply survive.
It was also nice to see the struggle between a father and daughter that doesn’t lie within the lines of the father stating, “you can’t do blah blah blah because you’re a girl,” and the rebellious daughter having to prove her sexist father wrong. Popcorn and Velvet Seats commends DreamWorks Animation for creating a non-cliché storyline.
Funny calamity ensues once the cavemen family and their guide, Guy played by Ryan Reynolds, embark on their journey to “tomorrow”. Although, the journey was funny, everyone at Popcorn and Velvet Seats has voted Belt, played by Chris Sanders, to be the ultimate comedic relief in the film.
Theater Reaction: The dad’s in the theater loved it - they laughed, cried hugged and their kids. It was adorable!
Conclusion: Kids @ Heart - Buy the Ticket!
