ROBERT DOWNEY JR. SPEAKS ON SUPERHERO RETIREMENT
It recently occured to RDJ that he’s definitely gotten over the hill in the last couple of years, and he can’t be a superhero forever… perhaps he doesn’t want to be a superhero forever.
In light of his on set injury RDJ stated: It got me thinking about how big the message from your cosmic sponsor needs to be before you pick it up. How many genre movies can I do? How many follow-ups to a successful follow-up are actually fun? Because, as quiet as it’s kept, I come from a family of very innovative writers and directors and actors and artists, and the circle of friends they were in were the people I heard having pun-offs playing poker at two in the morning, and it was just the most comforting aspect of my childhood. So there’s this kind of legacy of souls from what I consider to be a very particular time in entertainment, and I’m sensing a return to that…it’s what me and the missus are doing next. It’s not unlike: I heard (Tom) Brady signed on for three more years with New England, and then he’s done being a QB, because he’ll be 40. I’m 47, and I’ll be 50.
Not us. Not you. Apparently, not even RDJ has the slightest clue on his next superhero step. RDJ stated: I don’t know. I don’t know. Right now I don’t have a contract to do anything, and I did for the last five years.
We’re down Christopher Nolan. We’re down Christian Bale. We can’t afford to be down Robert Downey Jr.
CHESTNUT IS GEARING UP TO BE THE BLACK PANTHER
Actor Morris Chestnut is apparently going to play the Black Panther who will most likely appear in the The Avengers 2, especially since Black Panther might get its own spin-off in Marvel’s Phase III.
He recently tweeted:

Later on a fan tweeted and he responded:

Long story awesome, we love it. It’s always nice to see diversity.
THE AVENGERS IS COMING TO A TV NEAR YOU!
After many rumors it has been confirmed that Joss Whedon will be developing a television version of The Avengers. “…previous report revealed that this upcoming show will be set firmly within the Marvel Universe, featuring the same types of themes displayed in [The Avengers], though it may not include any of the same characters.” — movieweb
Perhaps it will work with Whedon behind it.
The Avengers TV Show!
“Marvel’s The Avengers has truly conquered the box office this summer, amassing a whopping $615 million at the domestic box office so far. Marvel Studios is also looking to possibly take this superhero team to the small screen, with an Avengers-themed TV show for ABC.
The project is in very early stages at this point, with only, “a kernel of an idea” so far. It is said that there wouldn’t be a direct connection between the show and director Joss Whedon’s blockbuster. While the series would be set in the same Marvel universe, and feature some of the same themes, it may not feature these superhero characters.” — movieweb

THE WASP WAS ALMOST IN ‘THE AVENGERS’
THE AVENGERS originally considered having shero Jane Van Dyne aka the ‘Wasp’ for the 2012 release, but the shero did not make the cut in later drafts of the script.
“There was a version of the script, back when Johansson wasn’t involved, that featured a female superhero named the Wasp. Whedon had to scrap that script, and was making changes to his final version even as the effects people were starting work on the 40-minute battle that closes the movie. “Trying to figure out the way you want to introduce all those characters, that was stuff we were still tweaking in the edit,” says Whedon.” — Comics Alliance

Eva Longoria was once linked to playing the “Wasp,” but later claimed that she was meeting with Marvel about a different movie.
Would’ve been interesting though.
THE AVENGERS trailer
Synopsis: When Loki decides to attack Earth in spite of Thor, The Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Hawk Eye, and Black Widow band together to form ‘The Avengers’ under elite spy Nick Fury.
My Thoughts: Funny. Entertaining. Visually pleasing.
Reasoning: This film was full of witty one-liners from the oh-so-clever Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), not to mention the surprisingly funny Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) who I wasn’t even initially excited to see in the film. It was entertaining to see how they introduce each Avenger, and to watch the clash of personalties amongst The Avengers. The special effects looked amazing in 3D amazing!
Theatre Reaction: Everyone was loving this.
Conclusion: BUY THE TICKET!
